Gerard Valkyrie is the Sternritter M in the Vandenreich. He is also a member of another group with the Sternritter, the Elite Sternritter. Gerard hasn’t used the mysterious ability that his name grants him yet. However he has been in combat, and used the common Quincy spirit broadsword as his means for attack. He faced Oetsu Nimaiya of the Royal Guard in combat with the other Elite Sternritter, but was promptly cut down. After his death delivered by Nimaiya, he was revived by Yhwach and the power his Auswhalen.
After getting revived, he, along with the others sit on couches until Jugram Haschwalth brings them to Yhwach who reveals himself to them. Afterwards, Gerard moves through the city and encounters Renji, Byakuya and the others. Renji and Byakuya wounds Gerard with Byakuya destroying his helmet and seemingly defeating him however they are surprised by a giant Gerard who begins to attack the shinigami until Hitsugaya arrives and freezes his arm and is then chopped off by Kenpachi who joins the fray however Gerard regenerates using “The Miracle” and does battle with Kenpachi using his sword. He managed to overwhelm Kenpachi until he activates bankai and cuts him in half but Gerard regenerates and activates Vollstandig. Kenpachi fails to attack due to too much power from his bankai and Gerard slashes him to the ground.
He focuses on Hitsugaya who becomes an adult and proceeds to freeze his sword and then freezes him but he eventually breaks free of the ice but is then hit by Byakuya’s secret technique which destroys his head and his body is then shattered by Hitsugaya’s ice however Gerard yet again, regenerates and continues his battle with the shinigami until he is hit by Auswählen and killed.
Powers and Abilities
The Miracle – Gerard’s ability allows him to regenerate from any physical damage and become stronger and mightier making him nigh impossible to defeat due to the fact that he would always come back from any physical damage.
Damage Reflection – Gerard carries a sword that is able to reflect any damage done to it on the person who damaged it.
Flight – While not showing flying, Gerard has the ability to do so in his Vollstandig form.
