Ghost

Origin

Ghost and her mother lived in the Gotham slums. At a young age, Ghost was affected by the class disparity between her and other kids her age. One night, the landlords of her building burnt it down for the insurance money. Ghost, her family, and a hundred others, lost everything in the fire, while the landlords, known as the Winston’s, used the money to establish the Winston Jewellers, becoming one of the newest richest families in Gotham. In order to feed and protect her family, and the homeless encampment she was a part of, Ghost created the Ghost Dogs: a group of thieves. Soon, they became one of the rising stars in the criminal underworld, acknowledged as the most elusive thieves in Gotham.

Creation

Ghost was created by Che Grayson and Belen Ortega.

One night, the Ghost Dogs rob a branch of Winston Jewellers, but are confronted by Batman. While her companions are captured, Ghost evades Batman for a time, but is eventually caught. Giving her a chance to explain herself, Ghost relays her story to Batman and why she chose to become a thief. Batman decides not to arrest her, but confiscates the jewels.
