Actually there was no such character as the Ghost of Ivanhoe, his one and only appearance was on the cover of Double Comics # 6, which was made up of comics that has been returned unsold to the various publishers, brought cheap by Gilberton the original covers were removed from these comics two were bundled together at random, then the new cover was put on. As such there was no telling what might be found by the person who brought a copy of Double Comics. Â
As such no two copies of Double Comics were the same, and the characters on the cover were never found on the inside, in fact such characters as Tornado Tim, and The Ghost of Ivanhoe never appeared in a story in any comic.
