Gila Mobster was created when the Tanaka Bros., hoping to see some crowds and and money, genetically created Pokemon-esque creatures. Gila Mobster was one of the creatures that turned up as a result.
Visually, Gila is a Charmander parody, except with a large hat and instead of fire, holds a lighter in his tail. He is quite adept in underworld politics and operations. He is a useful ally to the Tanaka Bros., as not only does he occasionally offer some wise advice but he is quite formidable in combat-he keeps a variety of weapons handy for such situations.
However, he also can be quite troublesome. He frequently steals from other people, sometimes even Hsu and Chan, and also will occasionally ignore or be unwilling to assist them.
