As the protagonist of Oda’s first one-shot, Bastar has little similarity to any characters from One Piece, though his picking his nose during a serious conversation fits him in alongside their personalities. Notably, his unrealistically accurate sniping skills are a precursor to Usopp‘s primary skillset.
