- Name: Candace Walker
- Age: 23
- Place of birth: Jackson Hole, Wyoming
- Found: Cardiff, UK
- Common phrase: “Is anyone else hott or is it just me?”
ABILITIES:
Give (short for “Give” and Take”) has the ability to project electricity or fire from her hands. Originally, it was believed that her powers were due to energy conversion and manipulation. This was later disproved by Tex-Shield who confirmed that her powers were energy absorption.
She is able to fly by sheathing her body in an electro-magnetic current and “riding” the magnetic waves generated by the planet. In issue one, she was seen using electrical attacks against The Military Elite — a group of ultrahuman soldiers from each branch of the special forces. However, at the end of issue three, she was seen using fire to fly through the air. The issue concluded with the indication that she had somehow “stolen” these abilities.
LIMITATIONS:
Her abilities have several distinct limitations — she is unable to manipulate the energy she releases to past a rudimentary level. An example is in issue three of Message Sent where she is seem making an electrical shield, to block an attack from the World Army Initiative, but cannot make an energy-based constructs.
Additionally, she can only release the energy in direct proportion to what she has stored. Since she lacks the ability to generate fire/electricity, she can only use the exact amount stored. However, she is able to absorb the ambient static electricity in the air for electrical attacks and can create fire from the prolonged exposure to heat.
Personality:
Give is seen as a vain, egocentric person who exudes sex appeal by showing up to battles in miniskirts and heels. Yet at the same time has stated that she “wears what SHE wants to wear” and doesn’t dress to please others. This is a possible reason why her favorite outfits are the ones most hated by today’s women: corsets, high-heels and pantyhose.
Yet underneath the glitz of her attire, she is a very thoughtful and intelligent person. In fact, the team has relied upon her tactical expertise to escape capture on several occasions. In issue five, Base stated that, “NXSeven is raw knowledge while Give is practical application.” Her sense of strategy was utilized several times in issue three when Vestige was ambushed by JJ. Colt and his strike team.
Appearances:
NXSeven appears in several video games including:
- World in Danger — Colt and the World Army Initiative confronts three members of Vestige giving a status report on a covert mission. NXSeven is the contact person
- In Nite Team 4, The entire Vestige team is featured as computer hackers trying to disrupt gameplay. The leader is NXSeven
- In Star Flint, Give is a passenger aboard Flint’s ship who sits in the library reading, “Lady Batterlings Lover.”
