Desiring to become an alicorn like Princess Twilight Sparkle, the unicorn Goldcap and her compatriots used a spell to steal Rainbow Dash’s wings and mixed them into a potion that would give them wings. The three headed into the forest to wait the sunrise for the potion to stabilize when they spotted a camouflaged Twilight Sparkle and captured her and Rainbow Dash. While incarcerated, Twilight attempted to reason with the three that stealing the wings wasn’t right. Goldcap, however, rebuked her and took the lead in questioning Twilight’s worthiness and whether or not her own wings hadn’t been stolen from another pegasus like Rainbow Dash. The trio waited for the potion’s completion, unaware the two captives had merged their abilities and escaped, knocking out all three and claiming the potion for the pegasus.
The three attempted to flee only to be blasted by the alicorn, who temporarily takes away their magic for an unspecified amount of time as punishment, leaving them to walk home as the three lament the loss of both their abilities and ascension.
