Originally, the Nazis manipulated Kathy Feran to fight for them under the name Die Kriegerin. She attempted to assassinate Winston Churchill and earned the nickname Death Maiden from the Allies. However she regained her senses and defected to the United States taking on the name the Golden Warrior and joining the Vanguard of Freedom. Later Nazias again manipulated her so that scientists could use her to create superhuman children, including Terri Feran, the heroine Flare.
