While traveling in the Tibetan desert Gordon was bitten by a wolf which cursed him into becoming a deadly uncontrollable wolf-man hybrid at midnight during a full moon. It was in Tibet where he met his wife who had been shot, he aided her and eventually they came back to the United States and were married.
It turns out the wolf that bit him was none other than his wife Llhupa in wolf form who ended up killing him when he put the pieces together. The injuries she received in Tibet were actually from Gordon’s gun while she was in the form of the wolf.
Gordon Sanders is the first appearance of a wolf man in Marvel Comics (Timely at the time).
