Graggin lived on Apokolips. His primary source of income was searching through the fire pits for things of value. One day, as he searched through the pits, he found Superman. Though he didn’t recognize Superman, he figured he could get something good for a man capable of surviving the fire pits, and he strapped the unconscious Kryptonian to his rig and took off towards town. No one believed Graggin’s story, even when Graggin tried to show the invulnerability by putting Superman’s hand over a torch, and the townspeople very nearly threw Graggin himself into the fire pits. Before the crowd’s bloodlust could reach its peak, Amazing Grace pushed her way through the crowd and scolded them, completely turning the mood around. This event was the catalyst for a rebellion on Apokolips, though the rebellion failed when Amazing Grace and a brainwashed Superman betrayed them.
