After a performance, the Great Voodini receives a message from the Black Spot confirming the intention to use the Great Voodini in a diamond heist. The Great Voodini leaves the country for Bombay before the Black Spot can corner him.
In Bombay, he is found by Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd. They request from him the secret of the magic wand. Oddly, he is more than happy to oblige, provided the boys do a trick to stump all the master magicians in Bombay. The boys agree. He introduces the boys to the magicians and they are all astonished at the trick. After the Great Voodini reveals the secret of the magic wand he finds out that the trick was just that – a trick. He and the other magicians chase the boys out of Bombay without recovering the secret to the magic wand.
