Origin
Son of the original Kraven the Hunter, Vladimir Kravinoff grew up in Russia where he live the life of luxury under his father’s amassed fortune, but grew without his father because he was busy going into hunts around the world. Instead he was trained by Sergei’s servant, Gregor, who was trained by Kraven himself.
Creation
Vladimir first appeared in Spider-Man #47, in the first series.
Major Story Arcs
When he was still a child. Sergei puts his son to the test by hunting him in Maine. When he passed his father’s test, Vladimir was personally trained by his father. When he took up the title of Grim Hunter, he shortly targeted Spider-Man and even team-up with the Hobgoblin. When he got out of jail, he went on to find Spider-Man but only encountered the Scarlet Spider seeking revenge for his late father, but was murdered by the Spider-Man clone named Kaine.
Grim Hunt
At the beginning of the Grim Hunt Saga, Vladimir was resurrected as a part-man/part-animal by Ana Kravinoff and Sasha Kravinoff by killing Mattie Franklin. he didn’t get to live long though, after the great battle at Kraven mansion, Grim Hunter was killed by Kraven, saying that dead should be respected.
Power and Abilities
After drinking the Jungle Serum, Vladimir gain superhuman strength, agility, stamina, and longevity. He also carries many weapons both ancestral and modern, such as knife, spear, rifle, pistol, and blowgun. He has recently been resurrected as a humanoid lion, granting him superhuman senses, strength, speed, durability and agility. He also gains sharp teeth, claws and a feral animal side, and he carries a stone hammer as a weapon.
