Grunkle Stan is the great-uncle (aka Grunkle) of Dipper and Mabel. He owns the Mystery Shack, a tourist trap, which he and Dipper and Mabel live in for the duration of the story. Despite being portrayed as only loving money, he deeply loves Dipper and Mabel, and would do anything for them.
