A member of the Fraternity of Raptors, Gyre’s crystal was freed by the Fault and took possession of a Kree miner on a plant that was breaking up in the Fault. He was alerted of his current situation by the datasong and attacked Nova and Darkhawk before he was chosen by a younger version of the Sphinx to battle Darkhawk. He swears the return of the Raptors to make new empires under their masters, who were not revealed. Darkhawk defeated him by driving him out of his armor.
