Origin
Born with hypernatural powers, Deedee tried out for the Hypernaturals. She nearly became a member of the team, but the armor she wanted was given to another woman. According to herself, she was rejected because she was too good looking, so they gave the armor to a “skinny chick”. In fact, her issues with authority were the real reason she was rejected. When the Centennial iteration disappeared on their inaugural mission, she was called up for active duty and given the Halfshell armor.
Creation
Halfshell was created by writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning and artist Brad Walker.
Powers and abilities
It is unknown how much of the abilities she has displayed are coming from the suit or herself. It is known that the nanoware in her armor allows it to interface with mechanical components, thus able to expand her armor.
The armor is made by Winch Industries, who sponsors the selected member of the team.
