The youngest of seven children, Hamza is the third generation of his family to be born in America, but he is still treated by many as though he and his family are terrorists. He dreamed of becoming a pilot, but was rejected. He is rather pessimistic, often stating his belief that all of their ventures will end in their doom. He is also a devout Muslim and is shown using empty classrooms at school to say his daily prayers.
Powers and Abilities
Although Hamza refers to his abilities as ‘clock-stop,’ he actually accelerates himself and others of his choice so that they can perform actions in mere nanoseconds. Doing so strains his body and wears him out and overuse of his power can cause him to come close to losing consciousness.
