Origin
Very little is known about Hands. At some point he descended into the subway system, where he became a member of the Dead Dogs, one of the subway pirate crews that haunt the tunnels below New York. He was taken on by No-Beard as his personal assistant.
Creation
Hands was created by Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart. He made his first appearance in Seven Soldiers: Guardian #2

Working for No-Beard, Hands holds the map of the secret subway tunnels for No-Beard to steer by, and later rigs the wheel so the President Clinton will be able to steer while the pirates launch an attack on the Sun Lubbers. He is thrown from the train when it crashes, and dies in No-Beard’s arms after telling him that he was not as good a pirate as All-Beard.
Powers and Abilities
Hands has no known superhuman powers or abilities. He possesses two functional hands, for which he was prized by No-Beard.
