Hank the Cowboy

Origin

Hank the Cowboy and his horse Silver King rode the west righting wrongs and fighting felons, such as the villainous Mexican Pete the Bandit.

Creation

Puppet character Hank the Cowboy was created by Francis Coudrill and first appeared in November 1950 in a segment, Hank Rides Again, of the children’s television show Whiligig. He swiftly moved to appearing in comic form as one of the earliest characters with a strip in TV Comic.

Powers & Abilities

Hank is an adept hand to hand fighter, and has an array of Cowboy and Old Western tools and gadgets, such as rope.
