Hartog’s miners protested the lack of security measures in his mines, partcularly following a series of cave-ins. However Hartog would hear nothing of it and forced them back to work. Later, Hartog encountered Kraddak, an alien, who predicted the exact time of the businessman’s death. The cause of death would be “Injury by a fall”.Â

Hartog dad less than a week to live. Becoming obsessed with the idea of falling to his death, Hartog sought to fight the lowest and therefore “safest” place possible. He was at the bottom of one of his own mines when the fall of a rock crushed him to death. The alien had never specified that Hartog would be the one to fall.
