Haruto is the main character of Seo Kouji’s slice-of-life and romantic comedy series, A Town Where You Live(aka Kimi no iru Machi). He goes on to make cameos in Seo’s other series, Princess Lucia, Fuuka & Hitman.
Character History
Reserved and somewhat shy, Haruto was disheartened when he learned that a stranger would soon be living with him as his parents took in the daughter of one of his father’s acquaintances. Further exacerberating matters was the nature of his new housemate. Yuzuki Eba was a girl his own age, with a forward, friendly personality but also a clumsy manner, which compelled Haruto to spend a lot of time with her, both as her classmate and to keep her out of trouble.
This caused Haruto further anxiety, as he suspected that living with and spending a lot of time with a girl he wasn’t related to might cause complications in pursuit of his crush, Nanami Kanzaki. He was partially correct, but Eba also helped Haruto, as being more sociable than he, she befriended Nanami and brought the two closer together, and often provided advice or support when Haruto’s overtures went awry.
