When it first makes an appearance in Detective Comics it is seeking revenge on Poison Ivy. The bodies, minds and souls of Poison Ivy’s victims are inside Harvest and hold a grudge against her. It first attacks her when she is inside Arkham Asylum allowing her to escape. When it attacks her a second time in the Batcave, Batman is able to defeat it. However Batman admits that it may not be dead.
