After Montoya was released, Jason Hunt, the son the banker the Costa Family had executed that fateful day in Central Park, sought to kill Montoya, but the Punisher stopped him. In a second confrontation with Hunt, Montoya was killed after Hunt’s dog tore his gloves, spilling toxin on Hector’s hands.
