Helena LeBreton is the mother of Jack Boniface, Shadowman. The father of her baby was Josiah Boniface, the previous Shadowman. The last time she saw Josiah was just before the great battle with Master Darque. During their closing, she tells Josiah that she can’t continue living this lifestyle and that she won’t be there if he comes back. Josiah knows that he must go to fight so he gives her an amulet that will keep her protected. She was 8-9 months pregnant when she left New Orleans and headed north to start a new life.
Ten years later, Helena gives the amulet to her son Jack. Just after that, she left for work and died on the way in a car accident where she hit a patch of black ice.
