He started his career as a mechanic before building and driving his own racing cars himself, then becoming a car manufacturer.

Henri Vaillant founded everything: the Vaillant family and the Vaillante brand.

A driver in his early days, he raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, he quickly became a manufacturer, first of racing cars, then of a wide range of road cars thereafter. Whether for his children and grandchildren or for his employees, he is the patriarch. His anger is Homeric but fleeting and his love of cycling is a recurring source of amusement.

He entrusted the destiny of his company to his two sons: Jean-Pierre the creator of the racing cars, Michel the one who leads them to victory.

Of course, enemies were on the prowl and Vaillante would falter on her pedestal more than once, but Henri, as a captain of industry, would know how to weather the storms… Even if the latest one left him tired, with the desire, perhaps, to hand over?…Henry, abandon ship?…Come on!
