Hocus, along with his partner Pocus, have a stage magic act in Metropolis. They have an expressive, almost anthropomorphic rabbit named Merton that assists them. They actually cannot perform any real magic, but sometimes believe they can when Superman (unbeknowest to them) uses his powers to support their illusions.
