Iron Butterfly was one of the Nth Commandos who exiled the various heroes and super-humans of this world to other dimensions. They failed to realize this was the first step to a war that would ravage the world. The regretful mercenaries banded together in an attempt to build some order from the chaos and redeem themselves. Iron Butterfly was the lover of Godwulf and seemed to be a musician.
Butterfly and the rest of the Redeemers helped Deathlok and a time-displaced Captain America defeat Hellinger. This power vacuum only invited foreign powers to attack soon afterward, and Butterfly, along with most of the Redeemers, perished in battle.
