Ivar the Boneless was a viking warlord that leaded the so called “Great Heathen army” that destroyed the anglosaxon kingdoms of Northumbria,Mercia and East Anglia.He possibly was the founder of the norse irish dynasty know as the Ui Imair.
Later sagas made him son of the famous king Ragnar Lodbrok and explains his nickname of boneless as some kind of disease or afection.
