She made her first appearance in issue #2233 of The Beano, dated 4 May 1985, and has been a constant strip ever since. In August 2008 the Ivy the Terrible strip merged with Bea to form Bea and Ivy. This was soon dropped when The Beano and Dennis the Menace was revamped to match his new TV cartoon show later the same year.

 Ivy does what any other 4 year old would do but takes her antics and playing that step to far. Her parents struggle to keep up with the over-active Ivy and her mischievous ways.

Ivy’s real name is actually Ivy Terrible.
