Dr. Jacob “Jake” Grimm is a physician and the paternal uncle of the Thing. Following the death of his brother, Jacob receive custody of his nephew. He later moved from New York to Arizona. A car accident crippled his legs and killed his first wife. He was next married to Petunia Grimm, a much younger woman. Thing tends to be amused that his aunt is barely older than him.
