James Freehorn used to be a member of the Protectorate. But after their internal struggles, he decided to left the group to follow Abraham Pitch and his splinter group. Nevertheless, he left also this group and after several years in the dark, he reappeared as Victor Alcasan‘s advisor, who in fact was the demon Bolabogg. The two of them captured Nara Kilday and James revealed that he was her biological father.
After Nara detonated the bomb attached to her body, James pulled a desperate attempt to save his life by threatening the life of Noel. But Noel managed to escape and beat him the hell up. James tried to taunt him talking about his wife, but that only enraged Noel who put a bullet in James’ head.
