Janice Caccone was the wife of Steven Caccone, a scientist obsessed with perfecting the process of cloning. His experiments led him to neglect his family, causing their son Ralph Caccone to join a street gang. One night, after Steven fell asleep in his laboratory, Janice angrily attempted to destroy his work by dumping all of his animal-tissue samples into his chemical vat. This resulted in the creation of The Night Creature, a monstrous composite of all the animals those samples were taken from. Immediately after coming to life, the Night Creature killed Steven Caccone just before Ralph returned home. Hearing the disturbance, Janice Caccone entered the laboratory and saw what had happened. She rushed to her husband’s side, so blinded by grief and guilt that she paid no heed to the danger. The Night Creature quickly slew her as well, as her son looked on in horror.
