The Jest-Master comes from a civilization that was decimated due to a plague that caused almost everyone to go mad. The Jest-Master then decided that it was his mission, since he survived, to test other civilizations. He put his sight on Thanagar, the home planet of Hawkman. With the Justice League Of America and the assistance of the girlfriend of the Atom, Jean Loring, Hawkman was able to stop Jest-Master from continuing his pursuits.
The Jest-Master used color-coded serums and aromas to drive people mad.
