Character History
A fighter pilot on the New Universe Earth, Jim crashes with his plane but doesn’t die. Instead, he awakens to find he acquired a strange tattoo, discovering that with it he gained enormous powers. The tattoo is the Star Brand, and he received it from the Star Child, just seconds before crashing.
Afraid that such amount of power could possibly go out of his control and create another catastrophe similar to the one that demolished Pittsburgh, he hides away from all the world, avoiding the use of the powers.
He eventually meets Quasar from Earth-616 and happily passes on the Brand to him.
