Creation
Joe 90 was conceived by Gerry Anderson as the star of his latest puppet show following the success of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. The TV series first aired on 29th September 1968 with Joe’s voice provided by child actor Len Jones. On the week of 18th January 1969 Anderson’s Century 21 Publications launched a tie-in comic, Joe 90 Top Secret.
