An unemployed auto worker hoping to get Lois Lane to write a story about another worker losing their job due to plant automation at Major Motors Plant #417. Lois declines to do the story and he attempts suicide on the Metro Narrows Bridge. The villain Chemo was streaking to Earth as a comet and hits Joe Quinn. Joe was now in control of Chemo’s body. As Chemo, Joe takes revenge on Major Motors for losing his job. Superman battles Chemo and discovers that Joe Quinn is in control. Superman defeats Chemo and was able to get Joe a job at Major Motors.
