John Beckert kidnapped a girl named Jennifer, but she was able to escape his mobile home. Jennifer had ran into Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, who were breaking into Gotham City National Bank at the time, and asked for their help. At first Ivy refused to help, but Harley was interested, and after Jennifer said John had hit her as he approached them, Harley and Ivy beat him up. Batman later arrived on the scene, and when attempting to apprehend John Beckert, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, Ivy poisoned John so that he would slowly die unless given the right treatment, allowing her and Harley Quinn to escape while Batman got help for John. It is unclear if John is still alive, but it could be presumed he was taken to hospital and imprisoned for several accounts of kidnapping.
