John Stone was the Captain of the U.S.S. Cortez. Unfortunately for him and his crew he faced an unknown group of ancient Vulcans who killed his entire crew and took his ship leaving him as the sole survivor. He is among a handful of Captains who lost there entire crew from his era. It is unknown how that effected his career.
Creation
John Stone was created in the Star Trek comic series Star Trek: Early Voyages. It is never revealed what happened to him after the loss of his entire crew.
