Jôi is the one that tells his friends to seek out Kakeru, that he is the key to their survival. His powers appear to be unknown, but are most likely that of prophecy….or seeing the future. Thus, this being a very powerful ability he is tired after using it and if he tries to see too far into the future he is paralyzed for a short time. Â
Why rebel?
He is what is considered a wild type and like the others rebels against the government group Greenhouse which wants to use his teams psychic powers for their own gain. Besides not wanting them to be tested on, the real reason wanted to escape Greenhouse was becasue in one of his visions he forsaw the end of the world.
