Judge

Origin

Matt was a defense lawyer until one day his wife and his unborn child was murdered. The killer got away and Matt went into a downward spiral. This led him to finding an ancient book of forbidden rituals. Matt summoned a demon and demanded it give him justice. The demon refused, because justice wasn’t his department. Matt offered to collect souls for the demon in exchange for the demon helping his find his wife’s murder. The demon agrees vowing to get Matt vengeance, which was something he could help with.

The demon took Matt’s soul and transformed him into Judge, a being of supernatural powers that could roam the streets, collect soul and search for his wife’s murder.

Creation

Judge/Matt was created by Gianluca Piredda and Chris Gugliotti for their one-shot Warrior Nun Areala: No Justice for Innocents. Although the end of the one-shot leaves an opening for Judge to return, he never does.
