Jungle Jake is a bank robber who uses highly intelligent animals to commit his crimes. He has a Lion named Leo, an ape named Oscar, a large red bird named Harold and a Boa Constrictor named Alfie. All of the animals respond to voice commands and attack on command as well. Oscar can even play cards. All the animals wear black masks as if they have secret identities. Killjoy often foils their robberies and plots so the have a particular hatred toward him.
