Creation
Kamikaze was created by Louise Simonson and Rob Liefeld in 1990 and first appeared in New Mutants # 93.
Side note: In an altercation with Cable, the character Samurai (supposedly a brother) is also called Kamikaze. Whether the editors simply missed that Samurai should not have been a new character but the already existing Kamikaze, or if they just slipped since the characters look so similar, we’ll never know. They could, however, have been meant to be the same person.
