Kaminari is a member of the Amatsu-Kami, also known simply as the Kami also possibly addressed as the gods of Japan. Kaminari is the Japanese goddess of thunder and noise. She is the sister of Kamikazi goddess of wind. Kaminari was present and active when Mikaboshi made war with the Olympian pantheon.Â

Kaminari is a Japanese mythological being, adapted into Marvel comics by Michael Avon Oeming, Travel Foreman and Derek Fridolfs. Â Â
Powers and Abilities
Kaminari possesses the typical physical attributes of the Amatsu-Kami, superhuman levels of speed, strength, durability, agility and stamina. Extremely long lived Amatsu-Kami are immune to most conventional types of disease and highly resistant to conventional forms of injury. The Kami possess denser physical bodies, skin and bones than regular humans, and can lift up to 20 tons. Kaminari has control over thunder, storms, lightening, weather and noise in particular. Â Â
