- During her time as the Hellblazer editor she appeared in a panel as a child in the maternity ward at the hospital Constantine was held at. Nergal used the child as leverage to get John to ally with him, threatening its life. Although the child is not officially Karen Berger, it bears the nametag “Karen”, clearly a nod to the editor.
