Karl Schwab lead a small resistance that wished to take over the United States for the Nazi party. Karl and his men used a machine that released energy that paralyzed the population. The Angel defeated Karl and destroyed his machine causing the people of New York to snap out of their stasis state. The New Yorkers drove Karl’s men back underground from whence they hid.
