Katrina aids Gambit with Anielle when he becomes ill. He seduces her and Oliver Stoker uses this against them. He uses this evil to change her into his “Black Kat” whom he can manipulate. Stoker later reveales to Gambit that her soul is still intact and can be freed by offering up Anielle. Eventually, after Stoker leaves, she is returned to her normal state. She is seen by Gambit later at the Vatican is civilian clothes rather than her nun habit. He notes that she appears more confident, but refuses the urge to go and speak with her.
