An FBI agent noted for her tenacity, and skill in martial arts and firearms Kross was forced to resign when Mr. Harlington, a superior in the Bureau, tried to kill her with a bomb on learning that Kerry was having an affair with his wife who was secretly gay. While Kross survived the blast, it left her with her “Sword of Damocles”, a steel splinter lodged in her brain that could kill her at any moment without warning.
Becoming a private investigator Kerry buys a Harley-Davidson and opens an office in Los Angeles where her skills and her willingness to take the law into her own hands and her knowledge that she is living on borrowed time inspires her to take chances few others would be bold enough to take.
