History
Kiza was cursed with skin that burned in contact with oxygen in the air. Her worried parents were approached by Lord Yaru, who promised he could help, but was only actually interested in a second feature of her mutant powers, the ability to turn objects into gold. Lord Yaru imprisoned her in a nitrogen-rich atmosphere, to keep her alive and instructed her to produce gold for him.
Nate Grey attempted a rescue and defeated Lord Yaru, who promised to never hunt down mutants again. He used his telekinetic powers to create a nitrogen-rich bubble around Kiza so she could experience the outside world.
He then offered to take her to another planet without oxygen so that she would be able to function independantly, but Kiza declined as she did not want to be alone again. Staring at the setting sun, she turned her powers on herself and was turned into Gold.
Nate Grey instructed a local monastry to treasure and respect the statue in her honour.
