Origin

Star Trek Canon Special Note
Not everything listed in the origin is Canon.  That is because only television shows and movies are considered canon for Star Trek.  This being a comic website there are many things here that are not canon.  So unless it is contradicted in film it should be listed as part of the character biography.      
 
Koda is the leader of his people.  He once called the only Lirin, Nano who lived off world to stay on the planet.  This was all due to their very organized society. In Lirin culture.  Each person born on Lirin is born to fill a specific role in the sosiety.  So when Lirin people started to die on the planet due to spertic fire busts Nano was called back home.
 
When Nano came home he found that it was his people’s fear of the unknown that was causing them to unknowingly use their own firebursts collectively and killing ither people.  It was discovered then that Nano needed to continue to explore and report the unknown back to his people so it wouldn’t be a scary.
