Origin
In the latter half of the 30th Century, Brita An’nan is a adventuress young female chauvinist from Sklar who was born with the ability to shift mass between her own body and other objects or people. Always a troublesome child even by her matriarchal homeworld’s standards, Brita likes to have fun at the expense of other people. Her mischievous nature caused her to do something that resulted in her exile from her home world, an act which today forces her to stay on the run. Brita then would sneak aboard starships going deeper into U.P. territories, away from her people. She used her mutant powers to humiliate and outrage the Khund warrior race, giving her good reason to seek the security of the Legion‘s ranks.

The first new Legionnaire to debut, Brita takes the calling of “Kono,” which tossed together with her hard attitude and tempered by her propensity for drinking, derived her name from the 30th century beverage Kono juice. So through a series of manipulative moves by Kono, this yellow-skinned, blue-haired, 15 year-old raider with powers similar to those of Star ‘Boy‘ and Phantom ‘Girl’ joined the rag-tag group of Legion leftovers and has-beens. She brought along her large feral pet “Furball”, unaware until much later that he was actually Brin Londo, the former Timber Wolf.
Reboot / Earth-247
In the Post-Zero Hour continuity, Kono does not join the team and remains a Sklar pirate, whom the Legion must apprehend.
Retroboot / New Earth
Kono was seen briefly when multiple versions of the Legion battled Superboy-Prime, the Time Trapper and the Legion of Super-Villains.
