Origin
During the Strategic Defence Initiative (Nicknamed the “Star Wars” program), the U.S. government commissioned an experiment to create a creature using animal DNA which could destroy enemy satellites. However, the creature escaped and killed the entire crew of the Koontz satellite. It then escaped the satellite and travelled to the abandoned Stark Industries Space Station.
Creation
The Satellite Killer was created by David Michelinie, Jackson Butch Guice and Bob Layton, with it’s first (and only) appearance being in Iron Man #237. The creature shares several characteristics with the Xenomorph from the popular Alien franchise.
